Blue Wave is currently registering players for its teams attending the USA Baseball National Championships in Arizona next summer.
Blue Wave 17U will play in the week-long championships June 15-22 in Arizona followed by Blue Wave 15U June 23-30.
Each team will play a minimum of 7 games on top MLB fields and spring training facilities located in the Phoenix, Gendale, Peoria, and Goodyear areas.
Northwood High School assistant varsity Coach Aron Garcia will managed Blue Wave 17U and Mater Dei assistant varsity Coach Carlos Cornejo will skipper the 15U team that will participate in one of the most competitive showcase tournaments in the United States.
USA Baseball is sponsored by MLB and their National Championship events are used to find exceptional players that are then invited to play on USA Baseball teams that compete in the top international world championships.
Returning players have priority to play on Blue Wave summer teams or attend the USA Baseball Championships, but must sign up by the time open tryouts are held in January to reserve their spot on the roster, which will be limited to 15 players, the minimum required by USA Baseball.
Cost will be $495 per position player signed up by end of January and $595 per position player signed up after January. Roster spots will be secured with a $75 fully-refundable deposit with the balance due by April 1, 2018.
Cost does not include transportation, housing, or meals. Team housing can be arranged, along with transportation on a cost-sharing basis.
