PRACTICE 3 TIMES A WEEK, GAMES EVERY WEEKEND

Blue Wave Baseball 14U is open to all 7th & 8th graders who want to prepare for high school baseball and beyond.

Blue Wave offers two fielding sessions each week on top 60×90 fields at OC Great Park, Irvine, as well as weekly hitting sessions as well.

Our players participate in tournaments every other week as well as 9-inning scout-style games every Sunday so all players are getting live reps every weekend to get them to the next level in their baseball skill and development.

Blue Wave delivers current high school coaches and trainers to work with all players in fielding, hitting, catching, pitching, and team play. Blue Wave 14U is directed by Aron Garcia, one of Orange County’s top youth coaches and longtime assistant varsity baseball coach at Northwood High School.

Garcia knows what it takes to develop players and how to get them to the next level in their game to make their high school teams and beyond as hundreds of his players have gone on to top college programs as well as the pros over the years. (See Bio below).

PLAYER FEES

Full-time team members pay a monthly training fee of $225 per month and paid before the beginning of each month for practice sessions posted on our team calendar.

Team players also pay game fees for either tournament or scrimmage game and fee is based on cost and posted prior to schedulibng.

Part-time, casual players may simply pay by the practice session, game or tournament as agreed. Game fees cover field cost, tournament entry fee, umpire fees, coaching fees, etc.

TRYOUT PROCESS

All new players must REGISTER online to schedule a tryout or attend an open tryout, practice, or game with Blue Wave. There is no cost to register.

Typically, new players will attend both a fielding and hitting practice session at no cost.

Once the player has completed both tryouts, Coach Garcia will either offer the player a roster spot on his team or pass on the player.

PRACTICE-ONLY OPTIONS

Blue Wave also offers “Practice Only” options for players who do not want to play with our teams but want to practice, either fielding or hitting sessions. Practice Only slots are limited.

GAME-ONLY OPTIONS

Blue Wave is also looking for guest players for 9-inning scout-style games we play every Sunday at Tustin High School to give players additional live-game reps when not playing games with their full-time team. Great option for PONY or Little League players just looking to get more game time in on Sundays.

BLUE WAVE 14U SPRING SCHEDULE

All players may practice at each of their fielding and hitting sessions. In general, we conduct two fielding sessions on Mondays and Tuesdays at OC Great Park Field 9 and hit at Northwood High School on Thursdays in the batting cage.

Our Blue Wave 14U GOLD team predominately plays tournaments every other weekend and our Blue Wave 14U BLUE team will play game(s) every Sunday at Tustin High School JV field.

Anything in GREEN is a practice session, BLUE is for BLUE team games, GOLD is for tournaments we have scheduled currently.

Anything in RED means we are off and only noted as they are days that we would normally be practicing or playing.

For example, we have a few RED practice sessions because Great Park has other events planned and has blocked us out for those dates. Most are high school season tournaments.

Both team rosters are updated each week and are subject to change. Anytime one of our teams is short on players, we take from the other squad to fill any holes in a game or tournament roster.

All players must give us as much advance as possible when your player will not be at practices or games, especially the games.
