Blue Wave Baseball is now offering weekly mini baseball camps in Irvine for current high school players (15U through 17U league ages) until COVID restrictions are lifted and live gameplay resumes.
These three-hour “camp-style practice sessions” meet present COVID-19 guidelines/ restrictions and are open to both Blue Wave team players and non-team players.
As COVID restrictions are lessened or removed Blue Wave will offer live games for all players in our program as soon as possible.
Longtime Northwood assistant varsity Coach Aron Garcia directs the camp, along with Spencer Ludin (assistant coach at Beckman) and coaches working with incoming high school freshmen (2024 grads), sophomores (2023), juniors (2022) and seniors (2021).
All exercises and drills during these practice sessions will be conducted under the social distance standard (6 feet) as much as possible with players working in groups of 8 to 12 rotate through Infield, Outfield, Hitting, and Bullpen practice sessions at separate locations of the field.
MEETS COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS
Players are not required to wear a face mask for these camps, but contact drills, scrimmages or games are presently excluded. Players are also not allowed to pitch to each other at this time but expect to see full-contact practice sessions and games as soon as permitted.
Players can expect to spend 3 hours of instruction, including warmups due to staggered starting arrivals and departing as well as player/parent protocols required.

Cost is $45 per Mini Camp.
